Correlation signals in resonance fluorescence : interpretation via photon scattering amplitudes

چکیده

Resonance fluorescence is treated as a collision process where incident laser photons are scattered by an atom. Correlation signals are extracted from an expansion to the second order of the post collision field state. Photon antibunching effect appears as a quantum interference between al1 the possible scattering amplitudes. When Rayleigh photons are rejected, some amplitudes vanish, leading to a bunching behaviour.

Robust distant entanglement generation using coherent multiphoton scattering.

We describe a protocol to entangle two qubits at a distance by using resonance fluorescence. The scheme makes use of the postselection of large and distinguishable fluorescence signals corresponding to entangled and unentangled qubit states and has the merits of both high success probability and high entanglement fidelity owing to the multiphoton nature. Our result shows that the entanglement g...

1 5 Se p 20 08 Inclusive results for electron and photon scattering in the resonance region

We present a model for electron scattering off nuclei and photon absorption in the resonance energy region (W ≦ 2 GeV). The elementary γ/γ ⋆ N-vertex is described using in-medium kine-matics and up-to-date form factors for QE-scattering, π-production form-factors and resonance helicity amplitudes of the MAID analysis. We find good agreement with inclusive data on electron scattering off Oxygen....

Hyper-Rayleigh scattering studies of silver, copper, and platinum nanoparticle suspensions

The optical frequency doubling properties of silver, copper, and platinum nanoparticles in aqueous solution are studied via hyper-Rayleigh scattering (HRS) spectroscopy. Substantial HRS responses are observed for silver and copper particles. The response is attributed to enhancement due to resonance of the nonlinearly scattered light with the particles’ surface plasmon absorption band. Platinum...

Beam normal spin asymmetry in the quasireal Compton scattering approximation

The two-photon exchange contribution to the single spin asymmetries with the spin orientation normal to the reaction plane is discussed for elastic electron-proton scattering in the equivalent photon approximation. In this case, the hadronic part of the two-photon exchange amplitude describes real Compton scattering (RCS). We show that in the case of the beam normal spin asymmetry this approxim...

Comparing signal amplification of thiocyanated Gold nanoparticles in the presence of different ions

Detecting is the most important section in all kinds of sensors. In this regard, the amplification of surface plasmon resonance intensity of gold colloids nanoparticles (GNPs) was studied in the presence of several ions. GNPs were synthesized and then capped by thiocyanate and characterized via DLS and TEM image. In the next step the effect of different concentrations of ions such as iron, copp...
